Since his first exhibition at the
Gulbenkian
Gallery in Newcastle upon Tyne in 1971, Walter’s work has
been shown in many exhibitions throughout the
UK
, including the Discerning
Eye exhibition at
London
’s Mall Galleries.

His
paintings are in collections all over the world from the
USA
to
Russia
. Currently he is showing at
The Biscuit Factory and Colliers in
Newcastle-upon-Tyne
, at
Reubens
Gallery
in Leeds, the
Blake
Gallery
in
York
and
Off-the-Wall Gallery in
Corbridge,
Northumberland.

Walter’s work appeals to a wide range of collectors who
choose from idyllic country landscapes to busy city centre scenes and
fishing harbours. He has always enjoyed drawing ships and boats; last year
he completed commissions for the captain of HMS Invincible and for
shipbuilders Swan Hunter Ltd.
